This position plays a key role in the continued success of the iShareMaps Location Server product family. A self-starter & team player, your enthusiasm and commitment to extend your skills base is paramount along with your excellent customer facing and telephone skills. A passion for customer satisfaction whilst providing consultancy and training on our bespoke software solutions before, during and after the implementation process. The principle functions involved in this role include: * Providing on-site installation and training services * Dealing with specific queries regarding the functionality of the company’s products and how they may best be used to fulfil objectives. * The provision of a telephone support service and remote server administration * Maintaining customer records, including hardware/software installation and network details. * Assisting with the Quality Assurance testing of software, prior to release to customers. * Helping our technical writer produce product-related material to assist customers in the effective operation of the system. Technical functions * Building of custom web pages for customers (including HTML, CSS, Javascript) * Building and integrating databases including spatial extensions * Scripting scheduled tasks with VBScript, Python * Use of UMN MapServer – the leading open source mapping engine * Configuring Microsoft Windows Servers along with the Internet Information Service (IIS) Training will be given plus this position could also open the door to other areas. Full Driving License required. Salary is upwards of £27k dependant upon experience excluding the company profit related bonuses. |
