As one of a few companies in the UK to help a Police Authority with this, we're proud to announce that Cleveland Police today released their Local Crime Maps as part of the Policing Pledge outlined by the Home Secretary earlier in 2008.

As always our goals were to provide something that was feature rich, accessible and simple to use.  Some highlights include:

• New Google Maps style maps interface through the integration of the Open Source Open Layers framework

• New Thematic maps (Colour shaded) with advanced range classification algorithms built inside Data Share and PostgreSQL

• Ability to switch between datasets for thematics

• High quality data represented with NO gaps, overlaps etc

• New Graphing module which is really highlighted in the Neighbourhood Summary section

This is a 'micro site' and further integration coming in 2009. It is also formaing a basis for some other capabilities that we are working on for an Intranet version of iShare - more news to follow in the New Year!
